My Photography Journey: Me, My Brand, & How I Got Started

Hello, I'm Faith!

A photographer and MBA student specializing in Digital Marketing at Fort Hays State University. My dream is to continue growing my photography business and, one day, have my very own home studio.

I love capturing life's special moments through senior sessions, engagements/ proposals, and branding portraits. My editing style is true-to-color, but I love adding a touch of creativity with a few motion-blur cinematic shots to make my galleries unique.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me long-distance running, watercolor painting, or spending quality time with my husband.

My Brand

About a year and a half ago, I rebranded my photography business and changed the name to Crafted Captures by Faith. I wanted my name to reflect both my artistic vision and my commitment to thoughtfully crafting each image. Every photograph I take is more than just a snap of the camera — it’s an intentional, creative process.

From carefully planning shoots and posing my clients to making on-the-spot adjustments and perfecting the final edits, each capture is truly crafted.

 

How I Got Started

My photography journey began right after I graduated high school. As I moved into college life, I found myself surrounded by friends celebrating major milestones — graduations, engagements, and career launches. It was the perfect season to refine my craft, build my portfolio, and grow my passion into a business.

Over the past two years, I’ve made significant investments and improvements in my photography — honing my skills, upgrading to professional-grade equipment, and refining my marketing strategies. Staying active on social media has expanded my reach and allowed me to connect with so many wonderful individuals who trust me to capture their special moments.

I love the artsy aspect of photography, the entrepreneurial side of running a business, relationships, and most of all, getting to celebrate special occasions with cherished friends.
